While using the Spyse search you should specify the internet object you are looking for information about. This internet object is called a search target.
Currently we are supporting following search targets:
- Internet Protocol address (IP)
- Autonomous System (AS)
- Classless Inter-Domain Routing address (CIDR)
- SSL Certificate
The search target can be specified in a drop-down list at the beginning of the search box on the home page:
Alternatively, you could click the “Advanced search” button and select the search target from a list there:
Note: The CIDR target is missing in the advanced search modal window because there are no options to perform an advanced search for CIDR yet.
A search by only one target type at once is possible. Once a search target is selected in advanced search, all subsequent search filters will be related to this particular target. It means that there is no way to search for an IP address and a domain name at the same time. All search results are mapped to the specified target and are shown on the search results page.
